Goodbye, Textbooks; Hello, Open Source Learning
Here is another great resource suggested by Sally Dixon. This is a must watch as she pointed out in the comment she left on the blog today. Thanks, Sally!
We at Seattle Vocational Institute have purchased content for our computing courses and are printing textbooks for our predominantly low-income students. We are allowed to customize the content to our needs.
This video opened my eyes to another resource -- open source. We might add new and improved textbook content by using open source materials.
Vocational training materials have been rather scarce in open source in the past. If I personally contribute, and others contribute, we can build a repository together.
